How Global ELO Works
Global ELO is Legion Ladder's skill rating for Legion TD, calculated automatically from real matches. Every player starts at 1500 and moves up or down from there as they play.
What counts toward your rating
Right now, only full 4-vs-4 matches affect your Global ELO. Other formats like 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 are recorded but don't change your rating yet — that may change down the line.
A match only counts once it's actually finished and its result has been confirmed. Ratings are never based on a self-reported score or a number someone typed in by hand, which is also why you might see a short delay before a game you just played shows up as rated.
Winning and losing points
Beating a team rated about the same as yours is worth a standard amount of points — expect somewhere around 16 either way in an even match.
Beat a team rated well above yours, and you'll earn noticeably more — a big upset can be worth close to double the standard amount. Lose to a team rated well below yours, and you'll lose more than usual, for the same reason. The bigger the gap between the two teams, the bigger the swing.
Every player on the winning team gains the same number of points, and every player on the losing team loses the same number. How well you personally played doesn't change your share — only whether your team won.
MVP bonus
If the game itself names you MVP, you'll get a small bonus added on top of your normal result — win or lose.
Common questions
Why isn't my 1v1/2v2/3v3 game rated?
Global ELO currently only rates full 4-vs-4 matches. Smaller formats are tracked but not rated yet.
Why didn't my rating change right after the game ended?
A match needs its result confirmed before it's rated. That's usually quick, but it can take a little while to show up.
What's the difference between Global ELO and LTD Map ELO?
Global ELO is computed by Legion Ladder from confirmed match results, using the system described above. LTD Map ELO is the separate rating Legion TD itself tracks in your own game files, which you can choose to share — it isn't affected by anything on this page.
